Story

WEIRD WORLD is a weird science-fantasy role-playing game with fast and easy-to-learn rules that combines retro-futurism and fantasy in a violent and humorous Setting.

Imagine Earth, our Earth in 2024, already devastated by climate change, overpopulation, epidemics, and all kinds of misfortune, including a particularly persistent human infestation.

Now add another 4,000 years - 4019 to be exact - of wars, alien invasions, apocalypses, unmentionable events like those occurred during year 4600 and other misfortunes… and here we are, welcome to 6042!

Earth is now finally experiencing a moment of quiet. The number of sentient races is reduced to an all-time low: Humans, Mutants, Aliens, Weirdzards and Automatons, forced to share the planet’s resources, dwell in small communities in the most remote places where living conditions are most favorable, trying to recreate - with grotesque results - what for each of them is considered “home”.

Nature, with renewed vigor, is regaining its spaces and, together with the new X-Energy, generates new mutations in the fauna and flora, spawning monstrous and wonderful beings.

As Humans and Aliens fight over a land stolen from Mutants, X-Energy spreads from the depths of the Earth, shaping a new world.

Will it be the end of life on Earth or just another dull Apocalypse?

You will play the role of a Landwalker, a bizarre survivor wandering from colony to colony without a home: you will delve into the dangerous and unexplored lands of the Cloaca Coast, a vast and wild territory washed by a Sea of Waste, the Gulf of Shame; you will get lost among the polluted deserts of the Barren Lands; you will be preyed by hideous creatures in the mountain ranges known as the Sea of Stone or you will venture into the Plain of Flowers, dotted with giant and wacky mutated flowers.

In short, you get the picture: it's a mess out there... think twice before venturing into the mutated wildlands, precious Weird Artifacts may be found there, but they are useless in the hands of a dead Landwalker.
