Beschreibung

Sovereign is an expandable card game where you take control of a burgeoning far-future civilization on the brink of war. Starting from the ground up, you build your empire by managing civilians and military units and by constructing facilities shaped by your faction’s way of life. Each faction comes with its own ideology, represented by a prebuilt deck. At the heart of the struggle are the Echoes - remnants of the arks that brought humanity to this world. You win by securing Echoes, but they remain vulnerable at all times, whether they are in your hand or on the table. To protect your Echoes, you develop units and facilities, or you go on the offensive and try to steal Echoes from your opponents. It is your choice whether you focus on building steadily or conquering decisively - both paths can lead to victory. A distinctive feature is how much the card backs matter: they are used to track construction progress from turn to turn without revealing what lies underneath. Citizens are represented by double-sided tokens that help with building early on and can later be used as workers or soldiers.
