What is this game?

Gates of Krystalia is a narrative tabletop RPG inspired by anime and isekai stories. Instead of dice, players use a deck of playing cards to act, fight, build combos, craft items, and shape the story.

The system is designed to feel fast, immersive, and emotionally charged, with mechanics for kingdom building, character relationships, trauma, corruption, and dramatic group combat.

In Gates of Krystalia's combat system, the initiative order no longer limits enemy reactivity. Even if an opponent acts last, they can still respond immediately to the heroes' attacks. This mechanic allows every enemy to counterattack when hit, making the encounter dynamic, narrative, and extremely engaging.
